Remember our lesson on Wednesday? That day we talked about five factors that can distraction from our relationship with God, The Hurry Factor, The Worry Factor, The Fury Factor, The Hearing Factor, and the Flirting Factor.
Think about solutions to the factor you struggle with the most. Think specifically about your life. Write an email to a trusted friend about ways you could wipe out these distractions, or write an entry on the group blog.
Read Psalm 46. Focus on verse 10.
What does it look like for you to be still? Take a few minutes and try it. No music, moving, or talking. Think about God as your refuge and strength.
Read Psalm 46 again, this time as a prayer.
In the next 24 hours try to set aside two times of five minutes each were you will be still and focus on Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” Following your time of silence and stillness, write down your thoughts on your piece of paper or in a journal. Share them with a trusted friend.
